D&D Dog Dynamics is a certified evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) program from the American Kennel Club. The CGC teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners.
D&D has also earned evaluator certification for CGC Beyond – a suite of additional training programs, designed to grow your knowledge and skills, strengthen the bond with your dog, and enjoy rewarding, enriching and fun activities together.

Canine Good Citizen is a 10-skill test that teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners.
CGC is open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed. There are no age minimums or limits for participating in the Canine Good Citizen program, because yes, you can always teach an old dog new tricks!
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start, providing a foundation to earning the Canine Good Citizen title.
Attend an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class for at least 6 weeks. Your instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® for the certificate or title (includes certificate). All dogs are welcome to participate in the program.

The AKC Community Canine program is all about ensuring you have a well-behaved dog while you’re out and about in the community. Where CGC happens in a simulated environment, the 10-step AKC Community Canine test is conducted in real life situations—like walking on a busy sidewalk or through a local park–giving you and your dog the confidence to enjoy everyday to the fullest, no matter what comes your way.
Another step beyond the basic CGC test is the AKC Urban CGC title, which tests your CGC skills in an active city or town setting. There are 10-steps to the test that your dog must pass to earn the official AKC Urban CGC title, but it is administered in a place where there are cars, streets to be crossed, noises, and fast-paced distractions.

Trick dog training is a great way to provide your dog with physical and mental exercise. You and your dog will learn how to high five, or try more advanced tricks, like training your pup to jump into your arms. For someone brand new to dog training, trick dog training might seem like a big leap, but your CGC training provides a great foundation for you and your dog to begin with easy tricks and progress to more challenging activities together.
AKC Fetch titles were created as another activity in which owners could have fun with their dogs in the AKC Family Dog Program. Earning AKC Fetch titles provides opportunities for both physical and mental exercise. AKC Fetch will involve teaching new skills such as retrieving. The four levels of titles (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Retriever) assess the ability of the dog to retrieve.
